So I went on a trip…

Travel

The absence in my writing can be explained by my up-to-date Instagram, which is significantly easier to maintain while abroad. However, even though I haven’t been posting, I always made sure to find time for journaling which, believe me, is no small commitment (but definitely doable when you’re on the beach with a beer by your side). Sometimes you’re tired or busy or just having too much fun, but if I didn’t write it down, I wouldn’t remember half of the things I want to tell you!

Whoever said that experience is the best education was 100% right because with each trip I take, I learn so much about myself and the world. It’s the kind of education that really stays with you. You don’t realize you’re learning until you come home and notice how much you’ve changed. Everything seems to be the way you left it; your job, your friends, your residence, your commute, your grocery store. But you’re different. You have that spark in you that travel ignited and a longing to be reunited with all the places where you left pieces of your heart. Saying I went on a trip is kinda like saying that the sun is warm. You’re not wrong. But each time I travel it feels like an epic adventure, a whirlwind of emotions, an encyclopedia of life lessons and a wild roller coaster that seems to be understood only by someone who has experienced it as well. I am eternally grateful for my wandering heart and I hope my wanderlust is as contagious as possible!

Stay tuned!
